In an effort to combat sedentary lifestyles in an increasingly digital world, Australian trampoline manufacturer Springfree Trampoline is introducing a way to gamify the simple act of bouncing on a backyard trampoline.
Essentially, the way it works is you would attach the tgoma gaming system brick to your smart trampoline, and download the tgoma app onto your iOS or Android tablet. The app then connects to a series of sensors within the trampoline map driven by the system brick. These sensors can be used to allow kids bouncing on the trampoline to play one of seven games within the app (this also includes exercise programs for adults, so we’re not off the hook either). See it in action in the (very Silicon Valley) trailer below.

The tgoma-ready line starts at $1699 for the compact model and will be releasing in October this year. You can find out more, and pre-order if you’re keen, over at Springfree Trampolines.
