Xbox’s Major Nelson is this year’s keynote speaker at PAX AUS

Larry Hyrb, best known to Xbox fans around the world by his online handle Major Nelson, has just been announced as the Storytime keynote address speaker at this year’s PAX Australia convention in Melbourne.

A veteran of some 13 years at Xbox, Hyrb has run his weekly podcast, Major Nelson Radio, for many years as well as taking on hosting duties at a number of live shows, launches and events. Hyrb is known for his unusually candid style, pulling back the curtain on Xbox headquarters and allowing fans a look at how the organisation runs.

Last year’s keynote speaker, System Shock and Deus Ex creator Warren Spector, was a huge hit with attendees and appeared on many panels, providing insight and anecdotes throughout the weekend.

This will be the PAX AUS contention’s fourth year in Melbourne and its third at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre in South Bank. The show will run from November 4-6, 2016. Tickets are still available and can be purchased from the official PAX AUS site.
