Palace Cinemas to build new cinema for Sydney’s Central Park Mall Development

Yesterday, Palace Cinemas made the announcement that they will be building a new 14 screen cinema for Sydney’s Central Park Mall Development in Chippendale.

They will build their complex on Level 3 of the centre, with an expected completion date of late 2017. The cinema complex will be environmentally friendly, encouraging a system where it uses recycled water to heat and cool the theatres while also refraining from any gas use to help reduce carbon footprint.

Sydney’s Central Park Mall is a five-level complex situated across UTS, featuring a variety of cafes, shops, restaurants and artistic spaces, including the aMBUSH gallery. The mall offers free Wi-Fi, sustainable architecture, a sun-drenched emporium and extended trading hours

Palace have been known to bring a mixture of mainstream and international titles to their cinemas around the country, running a number of film festivals highlighting works from countries like Italy, Spain and France. With a ten screen cinema also confirmed for Double Bay, Palace Central will be the Australian company’s fifth location in Sydney.

Antonio Zeccola, Palace Cinemas’ Executive Chairman states, “We have a passion for developing new opportunities within the cinema industry which allow us to engage with local communities throughout Australia.”

The cinema will open in late 2017.
