NYCC: True Blood‘s Deborah Ann Woll to join the cast of Marvel’s The Punisher

It has been announced that Marvel veteran Deborah Ann Woll will be joining the cast of the Daredevil spin-off series The Punisher. The news follows a host of exciting announcements made at this Marvel’s New York Comic Con panel on Saturday.

Joining the NYCC panel, the legendary Jon Bernthal who plays Frank Castle/The Punisher announced the news that Deborah Ann Woll, who plays Matt Murdock’s secretary, and romantic interest, will be reprising the role of Karen Page. 

The Punisher series was first announced by Netflix in April, where Steve Lightfoot (Hannibal) was introduced as Executive Producer and Showrunner of the series, in addition to writing the series’ first two episodes.

Marvel’s The Punisher is the sixth collaborative series between Marvel and Netflix, joining the already released Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and the still to come Iron Fist and The Defenders
