Liam Neeson’s endeavour to find his daughter seems almost trivial when compared to the inexorable force of Keanu Reeves as John Wick, seeking vengeance for the murder of his Beagle puppy named Daisy.
John Wick will return in 2017 after the original sleeper hit snowballed into one of the most memorable action films of its year. Receiving mostly positive reviews amongst critics and even being developed into a virtual reality game, the series has plans and the longevity to continue long after the second chapter.
Keanu Reeves will return in the sequel as legendary hitman John Wick, who is forced back out of retirement by a former associate plotting to seize control of a shadowy international assassins’ guild. Bound by a blood oath to help him, John travels to Rome where he squares off against some of the world’s deadliest killers.
The film will reach cinemas in February of next year and will reunite Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne for some Matrix sentiments, as well as a supporting cast that includes Ian McShane, Common and Ruby Rose. Chad Stahelski will direct.
