Gearing up for a huge two-day event at the Anaheim Convention Center in Los Angeles is the annual PlayStation Experience conference, the one day in which Sony’s gaming arm opens the doors to press and punters alike and gives a run down of the year that was, and what the next six months holds. “But I’m in Australia,” we hear you groan, “How can I see all the good stuff without having to put on pants?”
Relax, fam, we’ve got you covered.
While the PlayStation Experience schedule itself is jammed packed, there are a few highlights well worth paying attention to. You can watch select moments from the event live via the official PlayStation Twitch channel, which we have oh so helpfully embedded for you below.
First up is the opening keynote. That will kick off on Sunday morning at 5am AEDT for NSW, VIC and TAS residents, 4am AEST for QLD residents and 2am WAST for West Australian residents.
From there, it’s a bit of a lucky dip with a still-unannounced panel happening at 6am AEST/7am AEDT/4am WAST. Who could it be? Only Sony knows and they aren’t saying, dammit.
However, at 7am AEST/8am AEDT/5am WAST you should definitely brew some coffee and come on back because Hideo Kojima, fresh from his victory lap at The Game Awards last night, will take the stage to shed some more light on his new title Death Stranding.
This will be followed by another unannounced panel at 8am AEST/9am AEDT/6am WAST so if you feel like sticking around for a mystery prize, feel free to do so.
If you feel like getting up early before work on Monday, come back to the Twitch stream at 4am AEST/5am AEDT/2am WAST for the Horizon: Zero Dawn panel.
At 6am AEST/7am AEDT/4am WAST the Kinda Funny crew featuring Greg Miller and Colin Moriarty will hit the stage to talk about the all the announcements and trailers released at the event so far.
The day will then close out at 8am AEST/9am AEDT/6am WAST with the Accessibility: Making Games for All Gamers panel in which panelists from Naughty Dog and PlayStation will discuss the challenges involved in making games that cater to everyone — including people for whom using a conventional controller is an impossibility.

Here’s hoping Sony patches those holes in the schedule quickly — we’re very interested to know who’s speaking. If we had to guess, we’d expect something regarding PlayStation VR, maybe an appearance by Insomniac with their Spider-man title (even though they were quoted in the press as saying they would not be at PSX or The Game Awards which is exactly what you’d say if you were going to be there). We’d also be on the lookout for an extended glimpse of Days Gone, Sony’s first party zombie shooter.
