For those who picked up Nintendo Switch yesterday, there was one must-have software purchase — The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. But what about those looking to try something other than Zelda? We know there’s one or two of you, and we want you to know that we hear you. With that in mind, here’s everything else that you can play on your Switch as of right now.

Our pick: Snipperclips. If you’re looking to convince your friends of the Switch’s potential to provide really different, fun experiences, play Snipperclips with them. This was the standout for us at the Nintendo Switch Preview Event we attended in January, and features incredibly smart, collaborative, multiplayer puzzle-solving. It’s the perfect way to show skeptics what the Switch can do. Take your Switch to the pub, prop it up on the table, get the first round (if you can still afford to do so after buying the Switch and a bunch of games) and enjoy.
Indies:
There are a bunch of fantastic indies available at launch as well, so for those who aren’t impressed by the big AAA titles, or is perhaps a bit of a cheapskate but still wants to grab a few games, this is where you’ll want to pay the most attention. There’s stuff we’ve seen before, and stuff that’s altogether new.

Our pick: Fast RMX. One of the pricier entries on this list, but well worth it for anyone who wishes Nintendo would bring the F-Zero series back from the dead. A rad combination on Extreme-G and Ikaruga, this is one we’ll be spending some time with this weekend. Splitscreen multiplayer too! #Blessed.
NeoGeo Classics (because no Nintendo console is complete without access to at least one Metal Slug game):
King of Fighters ’98 ($9.10 AUD)
Metal Slug 3 ($9.10 AUD)
Shock Troopers ($9.10 AUD)

World Heroes Perfect ($9.10 AUD)
Our pick: Metal Slug 3 because it’s goddamned Metal Slug 3 and it remains beautiful and perfect no matter how many times we play it (and, thanks to Nintendo, this writer has now owned Metal Slug 3 on no less than five different platforms). Grab a friend, give them a Joy-Con and remind of how good arcade side-scrollers used to be.

This means those of you grabbing multiple titles will want to invest in a high-capacity microSD card to ensure you have enough space.
