The classic Agatha Christie 1934 murder mystery novel has again been given to big-screen treatment, this time with Kenneth Branagh at the helm as both director and playing the famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot.
Set aboard the famous train in pre-World War II Europe, fingers are pointed when an unlikable billionaire is murdered on the carriage. As well as being one of the most popular books of all time, Murder on the Orient Express was also adapted in the Oscar-nominated 1974 film starring Albert Finney as Poirot, as well as Sean Connery, Lauren Bacall and Martin Balsam.
The 2017 adaptation, also produced by Ridley Scott, will feature a star-studded line-up of suspects, including Willem Dafoe, Judi Dench, Johnny Depp, Michelle Pfieffer, Penelope Cruz, Daisy Ridley and Josh Gad.
