Last week was an insane week for trailers to say the least, with many upcoming blockbusters getting official trailers, and some films giving us a very first look at what we can expect! Needless to say, let’s check out 7 trailers you may have missed last week!
- A Quiet Place
A Quiet Place brings true terror to the concept of sound. As we see a family living what seems to be a normal life, we soon find that silence is survival and sound is the thin line they walk between life and death. Starring Emily Blunt (Edge of Tomorrow) and John Krasinski (The Office), A Quiet Place looks to release sometime in 2018.
2. Game Night
Game Night puts a wonderfully insane and hilarious spin on what it means to ‘play a game’. Starring Jason Bateman (Horrible Bosses) and Rachel McAdams (Spotlight), Game Night begins as simple fun, and soon turns into a night of hostage situations, car chases and people getting sucked into jet engines! But hey, it’s Game Night, so it’s all in good fun! Game Night is set to release 2 March, 2018.
3. The Commuter
Liam Neeson (Taken, Non Stop) is back in yet another action extravaganza, but this time with a little twist and sprinkle of suspense. As a daily train commuter, as a mystery sets Neeson on a mission that puts the train and everyone on it, in grave danger. Commuting has never looked this cool. Expect to catch The Commuter in January, 2018.
4. Lady Bird
Lady Bird brings us a heartfelt, coming of age story starring Saoirse Ronan (Hanna)which follows a high school senior dealing with the concept of growing up and becoming who you’re meant to be, all while dealing with a turbulent relationship with her mother. Australian audiences can catch Lady Bird in theatres 15 February 2018.
5. Rampage
Yet another video game movie attempts to translate to the silver screen, as Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson (Central Intelligence, Fast and Furious 5) acts as a zookeeper for an albino silverback gorilla which turns giant and runs rampant on the city streets. Paired up with a giant wolf and crocodile, it seems to at least represent the video game to some degree. You can expect to catch Rampage sometime in 2018.
6. Deadpool 2
Deadpool is back in hilarious fashion with acting as famous painter Bob Ross. With the tongue-in-cheek humour we’ve come to expect from the character, there’s no telling how much crazier (and funnier) this sequel could get. Ryan Reynolds (Selfless, Green Lantern) is back once again as our beloved Deadpool, and returns with fan favourite Cable, played by Josh Brolin ( No Country for Old Men), we can expect Deadpool 2 in theatres 1 June, 2018.
7. Incredibles 2
After a decade of waiting, Disney Pixar has granted the wishes of many young and old fans alike, with the return of the wildly popular superhero family. Although the trailer doesn’t give much away, there’s no doubting that the hype is real, and I myself cannot wait to see what The Incredibles 2 holds when it releases Summer 2018.
