Sony unleashes the beast with a Lim-Ed Monster Hunter World PS4 Pro

Sony Interactive Entertainment Australia has revealed a limited edition Monster Hunter: World PlayStation 4 Pro bundle to celebrate the game’s release on 26 January, 2018.

In addition to its 1TB hard drive, the limited edition console is admittedly pretty good looking and features the fire wyvern Rathalos, the apex monster of the Ancient Forest, printed over the top of the console. The bundle also includes a standard physical copy of Monster Hunter: World, as well as a customised red Dualshock 4 controller complete with unique designs on each side.

Players will also receive an in-game Origin Armour Set, Fair Wind Charm Talisman, and a Monster Hunter: World dynamic theme for the Playstation 4 home screen, all of which can be redeemed through voucher codes included in the bundle.

While all PS4 Pro consoles are the same on the inside, there’s no doubting this one looks pretty darn good on the outside. I personally appreciate a good design, and while I disagree with the heavily increased price point, this particular design won’t be hurting the eyes anytime soon. Although I don’t know how Sony will manage to draw in collectors and Monster Hunter enthusiasts, there’s no doubt that Sony and Playstation as an extension are banking heavily on the hype of Monster Hunter: World. If the game plays as good as this console looks, we’re in for a treat.

The limited edition Monster Hunter: World 1TB PlayStation 4 Pro console bundle will be available 26 January for $659.95 from select retailers.
