Production is now officially underway on the fourth season of the ABC’s Emmy award winning series Nowhere Boys.
The series is currently filming in various Melbourne based locations, with the supernatural action-adventure series looking to premiere later this year on both ABC ME and the ABC ME app.
The gang will return this season from an entire summer of magical training more powerful than ever, with a new member joining the ranks. As the gang fear their skills may cause more trouble than good, new threats and chaotic forces will challenge not only the powers of the gang, but their unity as a result.
Returning cast Kamil Ellis, Joe Klocek, William McKenna, Jordie Race-Coldrey and Luca Sardelis will be joined this season by newcomer Joel Ma in his TV debut as Zeb.
Behind the camera, Nick Verso (Boys in the Trees, Grace Beside Me) and Sian Davies (Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, House Husbands) are returning to direct, alongside Catriona McKenzie (Harrow, The Warriors) and Goran Stolevski, whose short film Would You Look at Her just won in competition at Sundance Film Festival 2018.
Nowhere Boys has been a critical and commercial success both locally and interntionally since its launch in 2012, with the show having won 18 international awards including an Emmy Award, two TV Week Logie Awards, an AACTA Award, three Kidscreen Awards and a further 23 nominations to top it off.
The show has now been launched into 180 territories worldwide and has launched international careers for the young cast as a result. You can catch episodes of Nowhere Boys on ABC ME.
