E3 2018: Microsoft confirms Crackdown 3 delayed to 2019

With only days left before Microsoft’s E3 press conference, the company has confirmed to Windows Central that Crackdown 3 has been delayed yet again, this time into February 2019.

The confirmation comes after a report indicating another delay for the long-in-production title was widely circulated. Speculation was fueled by Amazon’s abrupt cancelling of Crackdown 3 preorders earlier in the week.

Speaking to Windows Central, Microsoft confirmed that the title had indeed slipped to February of 2019, meaning it will miss the lucrative holiday release window Microsoft were likely really banking on.

The good news to come out of this is that Crackdown 3 developer Sumo Digital now have a great deal of extra time to complete and polish the game prior to release.

Microsoft have confirmed that Crackdown 3 is will once again be a part of their E3 2018 presentation. The game’s E3 2017 build was already impressive, and we look forward to seeing how far its come in the last 12 months.
