E3 2018: Sony confirms Days Gone release date, drops new trailer

After dropping off the radar for a little while, Sony have reminded everyone that that other post-apocalyptic survival title they’ve been working on is still on the go. Days Gone has dropped both a release date and a fresh look at the game, just days out from Sony’s E3 press briefing.

The brisk, one minute and forty second trailer leans into both the game’s Sons of Anarchy-esque characters and the hostile, post-apocalyptic world that is out to get you. The world comes for you insists the trailer, with zombies, humans and animals alike accosting the lead character. Check it out in the embed below.

For those hoping to get their hands on Days Gone before Christmas, bad news — the game isn’t dropping until February 22, 2019. This, interestingly, puts it in the same time period as Microsoft’s just-delayed Crackdown 3 which should create a few platform-exclusive fireworks.

Days Gone launches on February 22, 2019 exclusively on PlayStation 4.
