Our Music Video of the Day comes at you from Brisbane producer Charles Murdoch who lays the smooth-as-silk ground work for some really gorgeous vocals from local songstress Wafia, New York emcee Hak, and Perth’s ever-reliable Ta-ku, who gives his first ever vocal feature. Murdoch’s forthcoming debut album, Point, is sounding mighty fine if “Frogs” is anything to go by.
The accompanying video is the second entry in a trilogy of short films by German collective Jünglinge, who shot this on-location in Germany, focused on creating a vivid depiction of suppressed sexuality and contradictory identities as the video’s central figure, Pete, struggles to balance his membership to an aggressive, right-wing group with his own desire for love. It’s a sequel to Murdoch’s Straws.
