Music Video of the Day: Marlon Williams “Hello Miss Lonesome” (2015)

Well, this is a way to think about a tune. Marlon Williams, currently back on the road in Australia following a run of great shows overseas, has had the music video for “Hello Miss Lonesome” premiered online today and it shows more of the 24 year old than we’ve ever seen before. Quite literally. The rollicking pace of the song itself lines up perfectly with hectic fight scenes, as Williams finds himself being thrown around, getting his ass kicked. Throughout the choreographed scenes, Marlon is battered and romanced until he’s lying on the floor, literally stripped bare.

Directed by Damien Shatford, this one is definitely a clip to check out. “Hello Miss Lonesome” appears on Marlon’s acclaimed self-titled debut which has been longlisted for the Australian Music Prize and nominated for the Best Blues and Roots ARIA Award this year, amongst other praise.
