Sydney’s Yon Yonson are having quite the week. The electronic trio, announced as being signed to independent label TEEF for the release of their fourth studio album (their first to be released through TEEF), have released the first cut from the record in this stunning new tune, “Berlin”.

Mastered by Andrei Eremin (Chet Faker, Hiatus Kaiyote), the single is a beautifully produced number that highlights Yon Yonson’s arrangement talents, gorgeous piano; an enveloping soundscape that had us drawn in easily. Songwriter Andrew Kuo reveals more about the tune, explaining, “The lyrics in Berlin were drawn from a conversation I had with an artist friend. It’s a song about relative experience, cynicism and housing affordability. We were both dissatisfied and trying to decide whether to quit our shitty jobs and move overseas or bite the bullet and try get a higher paying shitty job in Sydney. He did the former and I’m trying to do the latter.”
