While in Sydney recently, Larry caught up with Ben and Harry ahead of SAFIA‘s debut album release of Internal. Chatting about the album and it’s creation, particularly the material that had been road tested live already, the boys open up about some of the challenges they were met with.
“There’s one song that we’ve been playing for a long time, which was probably the only live song that was always a live song and not a studio song,” Ben says. “That song called “Home” was probably one of the ones that took the longest to come together, because we were so used to playing it live. Making the studio version have the same energy as the live [version] was a challenge…”
Soon to be out on the road with Internal and a brand new live show, the boys are excited to hit some of the largest venues they’ve played to date.
“A show should be a visceral experience…you’ve got the opportunity to, if you can and if you have the resources, put on something really special. I think we’re going all out and seeing how it goes.”
