After seven long years on the Melbourne rock circuit, Jericco have announced that they’re calling it a day and will having a final show in their hometown to bid a final farewell to fans in November. Headlining at the iconic Corner Hotel in Melbourne, the band will play for the final time on November 5th.
Nostalgic about their time together, they’ve reminisced how far they had come with the support of their friends, family and fans, “There is nothing about the journey of the band that we would change if we had our chance to do it all again. All the decisions we have made over the years, some good, some bad, we stand by.”
“We stand by the songs we wrote,” they’ve said. “Because you ain’t got nothing without your songs. You also ain’t got nothing without your fans. For an independent band with the odds stacked against us, we had such a committed bunch of fans – which is why we kept doing it. We knew people out there wanted us to and we would see all the same faces at our gigs that where there from the start. It’s those fans that came to show after show, the ones we recognised and the ones we had beers with and the ones who sang along, that’s what made it so special and so hard to give up.”
Here’s a last song for the road.
