The Smith Street Band today drop their new music video for their latest single in “Death To The Lads” and announce a brand new Aussie tour to accompany – praise be to Wil, Chris, Fitzy and Lee.
This year has seen the Melbourne four piece perform right round the globe but their return to Australian stages this month is going to be a great way to begin the final stretch of 2016 and enter summer. As for the band’s new single, “Death To The Lads” came about when The Smith Street Band were on the road in the States and the video features the rise of The Smith Street Mums. Following the mothers of each band member as they step into the shoes of the band for a day, the clip is a bit of a thank you from the boys.
“It was a great chance to thank and appreciate the people who have done more for us than anyone, our families.” Wagner says. “We basically wanted our mums to get to be rock stars for the day and get some credit for helping us get this far.”
Check the clip out below and be ready tomorrow – tickets for The Smith Street Band’s tour (with The Nation Blue, Grim Rhythm and Forevr) are on sale from 9am!
