2017 Leaps and Bounds Music Festival dates and new creative team

This year, the fifth annual Leaps and Bounds Music Festival will be held from 13-23 July. Commissioned by the Yarra City Council, the winter music festival aims to support local live music venues, musicians, and small businesses throughout the relatively quiet winter period.

The 2017 Leaps and Bounds Music Festival will feature around 900 different musical acts from a wide range of genres, performing at over 300 individual events, hosted by 50 participating venues located within the suburbs of Fitzroy, Collingwood, Richmond, Abbotsford, North Carlton, Clifton Hill, and North Fitzroy.

Furthermore, the 2017 Leaps and Bounds Music Festival will be organised by a new behind-the-scenes team of industry creatives. The festival’s 2017 creative team includes; Sean Simmons (Head of Programming), Belinda Collins (Partnership and Events), Sarah Guppy (Publicity, Marketing and Events), Justing Rudge (Industry Development Coordinator), Yarra Youth Services (Youth Program), and Jason Tamiru (Indigenous Advisor).
