Electronic UK duo Disclosure have revealed to fans over a written note that they’ll be taking a break from music in 2017.
Posting the note to their Twitter and Facebook account, the boys will be ‘taking some time off and enjoying some much needed rest.’ Still eager to be performing at the UK Wildlife Festival in June, brothers Guy and Howard Lawrence won’t be leaving us empty handed before taking a break. Appreciative fans should expect to see “a few special things” in 2017, that have yet to be announced.
Fans have taken to Facebook and Twitter to thank the boys for their work over the last seven years. Since debuting their first record Settle in 2013, the boys success sky-rocketed in what they describe as ‘bigger and better than our childhood minds could have ever imagined.’
In 2015, the boys announced their second LP Caracal featuring vocals from Lorde, Sam Smith, The Weeknd and Miguel, receiving a Grammy Award nomination for Best Dance/Electronica Album in 2016. Last year the duo released their EP Moog for Love, a three track memoir to add to their repertoire.
