Coming out of the studio and beating down a self-described ‘bubonic plague’ during its recording process, The Dollar Bill Murrays have delivered one heck of a sophomore EP in Always On.
Fuzzed out goodness is met with frustrated grunge flair. Rhythms throb while percussion crashes around Felix Lundgren‘s catchy melodic work. Over five tracks, we’re given a little peek into where the Brisbane four piece have found themselves creatively on from their self-titled EP release, dropped on us last year.
The end product here is energetic and hyper; Always On isn’t here to sugar coat your music-listening ears. It’s here to take you on a ride. As the band explains, the EP “deals with the issues of this hyper-connected, always ‘on’ world that sees us continuously wanting to do more, be more, buy more, see more and share more”.
