Sydney’s Winston Surfshirt have doled out their new single this week in “Ali D” as their debut national tour beckons – we’re here for it. If you were a fan of their first tune “Be About You”, chances are you’ll be warmed to “Ali D” too – there’s a great groove driving this new single that harks back to that brilliant energy Winston Surfshirt have injected into all their music, but they’ve turned those good elements up a notch and produced a new sound that’s going to be winning crowds over everywhere in coming months.
“It’s a daunting thought putting out a follow up single to our first, “Be About You”,” says Winston. “”Ali D” seemed like the perfect option from what was sitting in the pocket. She’s kind of the like a big sister to BAY, gives you the same sort of feeling and she’ll make you dance when you don’t want to!”
