Music Video of the Day: Japanese Breakfast “The Body is a Blade” (2017)

Japanese Breakfast is going to be in Australia at the end of the year for her debut shows and as her album, Soft Sounds From Another Planet, has proven, she’s a new talent deserving of the acclaim she has garnered. New track “The Body is a Blade” now has a music video – a gorgeous presentation fusing old and new, as old family photographs are blended in with this contemporary vision, courtesy of director Michelle Zauner and cinematographer Adam Kolony.

“It felt fitting for the song to create a really personal mixed media piece,” Zauner explained. “Amost like a moving scrapbook.”
