Courtney Barnett‘s long awaited sophomore album is well on its way now, with Tell Me How You Really Feel set to be released on May 18th via Milk! Records. We got the news ahead of the weekend, so in absorbing the album’s first single release – “Nameless, Faceless” – we’re proper excited to see what the rest of Barnett has in store for us.
The song itself is catchy from the jump – it’s not foreign for Barnett to come out with a song so infectious, but “Nameless, Faceless” shines with its scathing wit and lyricism, an element of Barnett’s songwriting that has always been particularly strong. A great indicator that Tell Me How You Really Feel is seeing Barnett head in a newer direction painted with refreshed boldness, “Nameless, Faceless” is a perfect way to start this new journey.
