Single of the Day: Club Yorke “Stop the Bleeding” (2018)

Chances are you might remember Residual – the indie group out of Melbourne rode the same wave that was quick to promote the likes of City Calm Down to wider acclaim; one that championed ambitious and layered indie rock. Having formed a formidable reputation as a live band on the east coast quickly over the past few years, the band underwent a name change as they anticipated this new and fresh chapter of their career – meet Club Yorke.

Their first single under the new name comes to us in “Stop the Bleeding”, a cut of rock music that screams a clear Gang of Youths and Matt Corby influence in the vocals, while the big rock sounds dictates that Club Yorke are indeed aiming high with this release and that of their new forthcoming EP Nobody’s Watching Me.
