As part of their Australian residency, award-winning studio mischer’traxler will exhibit some of their designs later this month. The exhibition will be held at FORM‘s The Goods Shed, a re-purposed railway building in Perth.
Founded by Austrian creatives Katherine Mischer and Thomas Traxler, the studio has permanent installations in collections around the world, including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Vitra Design Museum, and the MAK Vienna. They have also been commissioned to create pieces for institutions such as London’s V&A and Design Miami.
Dubbed LeveL and volumes, the exhibition will focus on an interactive lighting installation, LeveL: the fragile balance of Utopia, alongside highlights from previous projects.
The artists will also work with FORM, creating a piece inspired by the dramatic landscapes of West Australia’s Great Southern, as well as putting together a masterclass for Australian creatives. Those taking part in the five day masterclass will have the option to premiere their own work at The Goods Shed next year.
mischer’traxler studio: LeveL and volumes will open at The Goods Shed, Claremont, on November 23rd. An artist talk is scheduled for November 27th.
