Melbourne International Comedy Festival 2017 – What we know!

The MICF is set to take over Australia’s comedy capital from Wednesday, March 29th until Sunday, April 23rd.

Here’s what we know so far!

  1. The Gala Opening Night Comedy Allstars Supershow will be hosted by none other than Wil Anderson.
  2. The 28th annual Great Debate takes over the Melbourne Town Hall on Saturday April 15, as six smarty-pants local and international superstars take to the stage, using logic, laughs, wit and charm to win the day.
  3. Raw Comedy & Deadly Funny competitions are currently looking for registrations all around the country. In addition to that, the Class Clown workshops for young people are also looking for participants!
  4. All 2017 shows are on sale right now, but here are some highlights which you should get your quick sticks onto – first off, Puppetry of the Penis will be showing at The Palms at Crown from April 1-9.
  5. Jimeoin RENONSENSE MAN! will be showing at ACMI from March 30 to April 23.
  6. Matt Okine We Made You will be showing at ACMI from March 30 to April 2.
  7. Aunty Donna Big Boys will be showing at Max Watt’s from March 30 to April 23.
  8. Nick Cody On Fire will be showing at Melbourne Town Hall from March 30 to April 23.
  9. Daniel Sloss SO? will be showing at Taxi Riverside from March 30 to April 22.
  10. Nazeem Hussain Public Frenemy will be showing at ACMI from March 30 to April 22.
  11. Troy Kinne #NO Filter will be showing at The Athenaeum Theatre from April 21-23.
  12. Lawrence Mooney Like Literally will be showing atThe Athenaeum Theatre from March 30 to April 23 (excluding Monday).
  13. Becky Lucas Little Bitch will be showing at the Victoria Hotel from March 30 to April 23.
  14. Jason Byrne is Propped Up will be showing at the Forum from March 30 to April 23.
  15. Urzila Carlson Unacceptable will be showing at the Melbourne Town Hall  from March 30 to April 23.
  16. Tessa Waters Fully Sik will be showing at the Greek Centre  from March 30 to April 23.
  17. Des Bishop Grey Matters will be showing at the Greek Centre  from March 30 to April 23.
  18. Chris D’Elia Live will be showing at The Athenaeum Theatre from April 18-22
  19. Alice Fraser Empire will be showing at the Chinese Museum from March 30 to April 23.
  20. Khaled Khalafalla Loose will be showing at Trades Hall from March 30 to April 23.
  21. Stuart Goldsmith Compared To What will be showing at the Greek Centre  from March 30 to April 23.
  22. DeAnne Smith Post-Joke Era will be showing at Taxi Riverside from March 30 to April 23.
