Sneak Peek of some of the exciting acts of the 2023 Adelaide Cabaret Fringe Festival

The Cabaret Fringe Festival is an open-access arts festival held annually in Adelaide, South Australia. We caught up with vivacious Festival Producer Lauren Thiel at The Piccadilly, showcasing some of the acts on offer this year.

Dolly Diamond is the emcee of the nightly CabLIVE at The Piccadilly. These recreate the memorable past nights at La Boheme, with an ever changing variety of performers. A great way to get a taste of what’s on offer.

Hot Sauce Burlesque, with Lyra LaBelle is back with A Vintage Showgirl. Expect dazzling dresses, sequins, feathers and exotic dancing. Plenty of risque humour and iconic looks. Head up to Nineteen Ten, rooftop bar above Crazy Horse.

The Dance Pad Performers have all the treats for their Cabaret All Sorts show. How much fun can you have? Rated G for general admission, they are playing one show only. They’ll be at the Norwood Concert Hall at midday on Sunday 4th June.

A flash mob event for people who love to sing Acapella? Well if you head down to St Peter’s Cathedral on Sunday the 4th at 1.00pm, you can learn 3 songs in a couple of hours before hitting the streets of North Adelaide. Get your tickets for Allegria quick, as spots are limited.

The 2023 Cab Fringe program is brimming with many other dazzling highlights that will leave you wanting more…

Take a cool jazz trip through the 50’s and 60’s with The Brendan Fitzgerald Quartet as they recreate the world of iconic jazz musician Dave Brubeck – his genius, relationships, humanity, and popular acclaim – at Diverse-City for two nights only!

Life is a Cabernet Merlot, darlings! Hosted by Annie Schofield, delivering their “world-famous-absolutely-terrible-impression” of Liza Minelli, it’ll be a crazy ride showcasing some of Kaurna Lands’ most talented cabaret stars. Three shows only at My Lover Cindi.

Following their sold-out Adelaide Fringe season for HAIKU FOR YOU, Alex and the Babes take the stage at The Howling Owl with a swashbuckling show inspired by audience suggestions, combining theatre, cabaret, and the best maritime puns. She Shanties is not one to miss this CabFringe season.
