Age of Empire’s WOLOL-O’s Cereal is a Nutritious Blast From the Past

If you’re old enough, you might remember getting your first taste of Age of Empires, along with a bite of nutritious cereal, from a Nutri-Grain box. It’s also hard to believe that sweet moment from my childhood was also almost 20-years ago. Damn. Well apparently so do the team at Microsoft were fond of this moment too, deciding to treat Aussie gamers to a new name in cereal, WOLOL-O’s. Named after the iconic battle cry spoken by the game’s priests in an attempt to convert non-believers, Microsoft have gone a step further and created an edible cereal.

This limited edition cereal comes packed with a 12-month subscription to Xbox Game Pass for PC, allowing you to play Age of Empires IV, when it releases on October 29. Have no fear fear however, as each box of WOLOL-O’s also includes a physical CD, containing the glorious soundtrack of Age of Empires II.

We can’t believe it any more than you can, but if you’re an Age of Empires fan, this is sure to bring back some warm memories of the days before (or after) school when the most important meal of the day also came with one of the most important RTS games in history. A simpler time indeed.
