Assassin’s Creed Syndicate‘s Jack the Ripper DLC looks incredibly dark

Owners of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate‘s Season Pass will start reaping its benefits when the first story-based DLC featuring Jack the Ripper is released on December 15.

The DLC is set in 1888, twenty years after the conclusion of Syndicate‘s campaign. Following the now well-known series of grisly Whitechapel murders, Master Assassin Evie Frye, now in her 40’s but still 100% my homegirl and vastly superior to her brother Jacob, is tasked with finding the Ripper and putting a stop to his grostesque spree before he can take another innocent life.

The tone of the DLC as laid out in the trailer (above) is decidedly grim and it would appear the Ripper is looking to attack Evie both physically and psychologically.

You’ll be able to grab the Jack the Ripper DLC on its own if you don’t have the season pass. For those that do, you’ll find it ready to download on December 15 (a week later for PC players). Those who purchased the Gold Edition of Assassin’s Creed Syndicate get the Jack the Ripper DLC as part of the bundle.

The season pass has more coming down the line with The Last Maharaja, A Long Night and Streets of London packs with extra gear, weapons and XP buffs in the bargain but those story and gameplay packs are as yet undated.

We loved Assassin’s Creed Syndicate when we reviewed it earlier this month and you can check that review out right here.
