It took the new LucasFilm Games division just 24 hours to announce a new Indiana Jones game.
The still-untitled game has landed at Wolfenstein: The New Colossus developer MachineGames. Its parent company Bethesda, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Microsoft, shared a teaser video on its social media accounts. It then clarified that the game is still in very early development. Elder Scrolls veteran Todd Howard serves as executive producer.

A new Indiana Jones game with an original story is in development from our studio, @MachineGames, and will be executive produced by Todd Howard, in collaboration with @LucasfilmGames. It’ll be some time before we have more to reveal, but we’re very excited to share today’s news!

That the game comes from a Bethesda studio has raised a few eyebrows. Given Bethesda’s new home at Xbox, does this make the game an Xbox Series X|S exclusive? It would seem like an IP too popular and important to limit it to a single platform, but stranger things have happened. Bethesda, for its part, has not confirmed anything.
Also interesting is LucasFilm Games partnering with Bethesda, given LucasFilm’s long relationship with Electronic Arts on Star Wars. Though LucasFilm Games used all of EA’s Star Wars titles in its hype reel, the clip was silent about its relationship with the publisher.
The new Indiana Jones game has no title, release date, or confirmed systems at this time.
