E3 2016: Minecraft introducing Xbox, PC and mobile cross-platform play

Minecraft is set to receive a substantial update that allows Xbox players to interact with users on mobile and Windows.  Further, MineCraft Realms will launch later on this year on Xbox One, Windows 10 and mobile platforms.

Dubbed “The Friendly Update,” Minecraft will now have dedicated cross-platform servers. Windows 10, Android and iOS players can already jump in together. Xbox One players will be able to join them in a few months. More about this update and the changes it brings will be revealed at Minecon 2016.
