E3 2016: New, lengthy trailer for Gears of War 4 released

Gears of War 4 is set to launch on Xbox One and Windows 10 at the same time. The news came right off the top of Microsoft’s E3 press brief earlier today. This will mark the first time a Gears game has arrived on both PC and console at launch.
Microsoft unveiled a substantial new trailer, introduced by voice actor/perfect human being Laura Bailey. The demo showed off a huge amount of new footage and a number of new graphics features.

Also confirmed: Horde mode is back. Get excited. The wave-based mode first appeared way back in Gears 2. Every co-op mode in the game will now support cross-play, which is a new feature for Microsoft. Called Xbox Play Anywhere, games in this program will provide a digital copy of a game across both platforms at no extra cost. Your progress and achievements will be shared between Xbox and Windows 10 as well.

Gears of War 4 releases October 11, with a new Gears-ified Xbox Elite controller.
