E3 2017: Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus appears on Amazon ahead of Bethesda’s E3 press event

A sequel to MachineGames’ surprise 2014 hit Wolfenstein: The New Order has appeared on Amazon Germany overnight. Called Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, the listing appears to confirm ongoing speculation that Bethesda had been quietly working on a sequel to their popular shooter revival.

Amazon Germany listed versions of the game for Windows PC, PS4 and Xbox One with a release date of October 27, 2017. The listings were pulled shortly after, but no-one escapes the watchful eye of NeoGAF who got screenshots of everything prior to the takedown.

The game’s title seems to clear up that stray line of code during last year’s Bethesda E3 press event that read “The New Colossus” with a release date represented as **-**-**. Fans may also remember that Wolfenstein lead BJ Blazkowicz recited the Emma Lazarus poem New Colossus during the closing moments of The New Order. The poem also appears on the base of the Statue of Liberty in New York.

We’ll know more during Bethesda’s E3 press conference on June 11 at 9am PT/June 12 at 2pm AEST. The Iris will be on hand to bring you every announcement as it happens.
