Nintendo waited until Australia was asleep to spring a fast, 15 minute Nintendo Direct Mini broadcast outlining their forthcoming plans for 2018. Pokken Tournament DX is getting more new fighters
Aegislash and a host of other monsters are on their way to the Pokemon/Tekken hybrid fighter this year with a pair of Battle Pack DLC kits. The first wave of fighters releases January 31 and will include Aegislash, Mega Rayquaza and Mimikyu. Wave 2 launches March 23 and will include Blastoise, Mew and Celebi (!!!). Both are available for purchase on the e-Shop now.
Kirby: Star Allies
The world’s most cheerful puffball makes his Nintendo Switch debut on March 16.
Demos!
Kirby: Battle Royale and Dragon Quest Builders both have demos now live on the Nintendo e-Shop today.
Hyrule Warriors: Definitive Edition
The Zelda/Dynasty Warriors mashup is on its to Nintendo Switch in Q2 2018 with a host of brand new content, including split screen couch co-op.
Mario Tennis Aces
Mario is heading back to the tennis court and we are ready to settle all our arguments with flaming tennis balls. Drops in Q2 on Nintendo Switch.
Ys VIII: Lacrimose of DANA
One of 2017’s most popular PS4 JRPG’s is on its way to Nintendo Switch in Winter (that’s June through August here in Oz).
Super Mario Odyssey update
Super Mario Odyssey is getting an update that will see Luigi sending you into various balloon-centric competitive modes. Rankings, speed running and unlocks — it’s cute and cuddly, but the community is going to be vicious. Also? New outfits. We are hype for this. Out in February.
SNK Heroines Tag Team Frenzy
The ladies of the King of Fighters franchise have decided to ditch the dudes and are just kicking the crap out of each other instead. This actually looks super fun. Launches in Winter here in Oz.
Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle DLC
Mario + Rabbids is STILL getting DLC if you can believe it and this one’s a doozy — Donkey Kong has finally showed up to lend a hand. Out in Autumn here in Oz.

Popular 4vE crime shooter Payday 2 is on its way to the Nintendo Switch with a host of brand new content.
