Lego Harry Potter Collection remaster coming in October (but only to PS4)

Two of the most popular titles  in TT Games Lego-centric series of action-platformers are getting a next-gen spruce-up. Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4 and its sequel Lego Harry Potter: Years 5-7 will be released as a single package, the Lego Harry Potter Collection, in October.

In addition to all the regular in-game content from both volumes, covering the entire seven-book Harry Potter story, the collection will also include all of the DLC from Years 5-7 on the disc.

This DLC nets you ten extra characters (including all four founding mothers and fathers of Hogwarts, Peeves and a few redresses of the trio) and a handful of new spells.

Here’s the rub, however — for whatever reason, it’s a PlayStation 4 exclusive. Sorry, Xbox One owners, looks like you’re getting left out in the cold on this one.

The Lego Harry Potter Collection marks the first time TT Games have remastered an older title for current-gen consoles. To date, 2007’s Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga has been the only title in the series to turn multiple games into a compendium of sorts.

Lego Harry Potter Collection will be released on Oct. 18.
