Microsoft confirms the four games that are headed to the PS5 and Switch

Microsoft revealed last week that four exclusive games were finally making their way to other platforms, namely the PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch.

While they had not mentioned the games by name then, they did say that two of these games simply deserved more love on other platforms, while the two other games could use benefit from a larger community in general, leading many to speculate that those two latter games would be Grounded and Sea of Thieves. Those rumours were pretty much on the money, as we now know which games are headed to the PS5 and Switch.

Pentiment

Pentiment will be heading to the PS4, PS5 and Switch as of today, which is a nice surprise. This is well and truly one of the best point-and-click adventure games you can play today, and a history lesson well worth taking. You can read our review here.

Hi-Fi Rush

Hi-Fi Rush is dropping on PS5 on the 19th of March, and while we didn’t get the chance to review it upon its release, can add here that it’s a wonderfully vibrant and upbeat action romp with a killer soundtrack.

Grounded

Grounded is hitting the PS4, PS5 and Switch on the 16th of April and has had much more success upon its full release, currently available on Xbox Game Pass. We’re sure that this will only grow in popularity.

Sea of Thieves

Finally, Sea of Thieves is hitting PS5 on the 30th of April. While we wish this hit the PS4 and Switch as well, we’re stoked to see this grow in any way, shape or form, as this longer journey has seen a strong resurgence in recent years.

While games like Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will remain Xbox and PC exclusives for now, we have a feeling that this move, while strategic, is just the tip of the iceberg. Stay tuned for more Xbox-related news as it breaks.
