New SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro Headsets Bring Active Noise Cancelling and Multi-Console Functionality

SteelSeries have today announced two brand-new premium headsets, set to bring with them a promising combination of versatility and features. The SteelSeries Arctis Nova Pro and Arctis Nova Pro Wireless gaming headsets will feature premium sound quality, Active Noise Cancelling, Bluetooth connectivity and an included DAC that works with Xbox Series X|S, PS5/PS4, PC and Nintendo Switch. Active Noise Cancelling is a huge plus, blocking out any external noise while gaming, from the likes of mechanical keyboards and mid-session snack munching.

The difference between the two headsets is rather minimal. The Arctis Nova Pro Wireless features dual 22-hour batteries, one of which sits within the headset while the other charges within the DAC, meaning you’ll never run out of battery. The Arctis Nova Pro stands as the wired option, but an additional Xbox branded version feels like the way to go for most gamers. This model this model can be used with both the Xbox and PlayStation at once, while the standard edition lacks Xbox support. For those gaming on PlayStation, Switch and PC, this may be the only compromise you’ll have to consider.

Beyond that however, the Arctis Nova Pro range is looking to tick all the boxes, providing a solid gaming headset that looks sleek enough to take out and about, while providing relevant features for various lifestyle situations. Sitting on the very top shelf of the new range, the Arctis Nova Pro Wireless will feature:

  • High fidelity drivers for a premium audio experience in addition to 360° Spatial Audio that is fully compatible with 360° Spatial Audio, compatible with both Microsoft Spatial Sound and PlayStation 5’s Tempest 3D audio.
  • Dual 22-hour batteries that can be swapped on the fly; one sits within the headset while the other charges within the DASC, meaning you’ll never run out of battery.
  • Both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth compatibility allows users to split audio between gameplay and various secondary sources including mobile audio and the ability to take phone calls mid-game.
  • Active Noise Cancellation provides and added layer of immersion, with the option to switch to Transparency Mode, should you need to pay attention to external sounds.
  • An AI-powered ClearCast Gen 2 noise cancelling and retractable microphone sits cleanly with the headset when not in use and minimises extremal background noise for clearer chat audio.

It’s an admittedly ambitious venture, but one that’s also incredibly hard to argue with in terms of features. The Arctis Nova Pro and Arctis Nova Pro Wireless will be available for at $499 and $649 respectively when they launches in Australia this June.
