Nintendo seem to be developing a taste for the theatrical. After quietly beginning Pokémon Go‘s global roll out last week, Nintendo have sprung another surprise on fans overnight — a miniaturised Nintendo Entertainment System pre-loaded with 30 of the developer’s most beloved retro titles.
Nintendo Classic Mini: Nintendo Entertainment System is set to launch November 10 and will retail for AU$99.99. Look at it. Look at it.
Here’s what you get in the box: The console itself, a Nintendo Classic Mini: NES controller, an HDMI cable so you can hook it into a TV the size of a movie screen just like you always dreamed about when you were eight and a USB cable for powering the device (though, Nintendo says, you will need an AC adapter to plug the USB into and that isn’t included in the box).
“But what about the games?” we hear your cry, “What are the gaaaaames?” Here’s the list, straight from the press release:
· Balloon Fight
· BUBBLE BOBBLE
· Castlevania™
· Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest™
· Donkey Kong
· Donkey Kong Jr.
· DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE
