Can you believe that PAX Australia is next month? If like me, you have only just come to that realisation, you will be happy to know that the full announcement for the exhibitors has finally been released, revealing the biggest show floor PAX AUS has ever had.
There are a whole bunch of new faces alongside the returning favourites ready to celebrate the biggest and best in gaming and pop culture over the massive three-day event.
Returning to the show floor is fan favourites Sega, this year they will be bringing Sonic X Shadow Generations, Metaphor : ReFantazio and Two Point Museum for fans to play. There is also Sega Streaming where you can catch some of your favourite content creators streaming Sega titles. Rumour has it that a certain blue hedgehog will be roaming the floor making appearances throughout the weekend as well.
Ubisoft are returning with its latest game Assassin’s Creed: Shadows for gamers to experience, they are also bringing the game’s director Charles Benoit along for a special dev presentation.
Cosy Games will continue their foray into the forefront of gaming with The Sims receiving their own featured spot. Here you will be able to experience the latest Life and Death expansion pack as well as getting a tarot card reading from the Grim Reaper, and the Plumbob photo zone.
Bethesda will be around with activations for Fallout 76 and The Elder Scrolls Online. The latest DLC for Diablo IV titled Vessel of Hatred will also be on display. The New Zealand Centre of Digital Excellence are also bringing a whopping 18 playable games to the PAX Rising showfloor.
Tech Exhibitors this year include Aftershock PC, Bluemouth Interactive, Cooler Master, Govee by Clever Gear, Intel, Keychron, MSI Gaming, LG Electronics, Secret Lab and Samsung.
Other exhibitors include Blackmilk Clothing, Aussie Broadband, Crunchy Roll and Final Fantasy XIV Online with a special photo spot and the chance to grab some FFXIV goodies.
Bandai Namco will be bringing Dragon Ball Z: Sparking Zero for gamers to get their hands on alongside Square Enix’s Life is Strange activation with photo-activation and competitions that will run across the event.
PlaySide Studios will be hosting a huge amount of playable games at their booth including Kill Knight, Thrive: Heavy Lives the Crown, Age of Darkness, Final Stand and Dumb Ways to Die. You can also catch their live playthrough of MOUSE: PI for Hire with Fumi Games at the developer playthrough panel with the game’s director Mateusz Michalak and producer Maciej Krzemien.
For tabletop fans, this year’s show features the biggest Tabletop area ever and will be welcoming in Disney’s Lorcana trading card game. There will be learn-to-play sessions that will invite you on your first adventure, photo opportunities in the Great Illuminary, take on quests in the Starter Deck and get Disney’s Lorcana artist Matt Chapman to sign your deck.
If that wasn’t enough, did we forget to mention that there will be not one, but two weddings thanks to Devolver and Massive Monster, two couples will walk down the aisle on Sunday October 13 at 11am and 3pm in a life-size replica of the Cult of the Lamb temple featured in the game.
