Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment expects the woe-begotten PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight to be on sale once more by the end of October.
The Batman publisher made the announcement overnight, also pointing out that any DLC that has already appeared in the console version will be made available for the PC version too. From the press release:
“As many of you know, we released a major patch for Batman: Arkham Knight PC a few weeks ago. While there were significant performance improvements made to the game, the teams are continuing to work on the additional updates that were outlined in our previous post. We expect these updates to be ready at the end of October, at which time the PC version will be made available for purchase. In addition, support for all DLC that has been released for the console versions will be in place.
Thanks again for your continued patience and support. We’ll be sure to update everyone as soon as the update is live.”
WBIE pulled both physical and digital copies of the PC port of Arkham Knight from sale following reports of abysmal performance on even the highest-end machines. It has remained unavailable for the last three months since release.
This, of course, does not mean its a bad game – we absolutely loved the console version of the game. Provided WBIE and Rocksteady have the game running that smoothly, PC players will be in for a treat indeed.
