Telltale says The Walking Dead Season 3 won’t arrive this year, promises “something big”

Telltale says that fans of the episodic zombie adventure series won’t be finding out what happens to Clementine next this year. Director of PR Job Stauffer made the announcement on his twitter, later followed by the claim that the studio has “something big” up their sleeve for the series this year.

Stauffer made several tweets about a forthcoming announcement from Telltale, dropping hints that we may find out about it at E3.

“To re-clarify, no, TWD S3 is *not* starting in 2015,” he tweeted. “But what I am seeing this week will be, and it is insanely cool. Stay close, news soon!”

The then followed up later with a tweet promising “something BIG for WD fans…”

The Walking Dead: Season 2 wrapped up last year. At this stage, whatever Telltale’s announcement is remains unclear. The developer dropped a DLC pack for the first season called 400 Days that followed a number of characters in short vignettes.

Telltale currently have a lot going on with their Tales from the Borderlands and Game of Thrones series still rolling out, in addition to multiple in-development titles across Minecraft and the Marvel Comics universe.
