The Talos Principle gets huge expansion July 23

The Talos Principle launched late last year and quickly established itself as one of 2014’s best/most infuriatingly challenging puzzle titles. It’s first major expansion, Road to Gehenna, arrives July 23.

Divided into four episodes, Road to Gehenna will return players the game’s simulation and open up the story of a new society and adds a ton of new puzzles to challenge even the most experienced players.

Devolver Digital also used the press release as a chance to take a shot at DLC-hungry publishers, adding that “(the) original plan was to divide The Talos Principle: Road to Gehenna into over 100 different $US5 DLCs but the Devolver Digital DLC Ethics Department advised against it. That particular department has subsequently been disbanded.”

Sick burn, Devolver.

For console fans jealous of their PC cousins, The Talos Principle will arrive on PlayStation 4 later on this year.
