CD Projekt Red have revealed that the final piece of free downloadable content for their epic open world RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be a New Game+ mode for those after a greater challenge.
What’s in the new mode? In a post on the official Witcher 3 forums, community lead Marcin Momot had lots to say. From stronger enemies to things like XP, money and recipes carrying over when you jump into New Game+, there’s a lot involved. Certain items are transferable too (except for books, letters, quest items, usable items, trophies and your collection of Gwent cards. Yes, you’ll have to gather them up all over again.)
If you manage to finish the game while still below Level 30, you’ll get a free bump to Level 30 when you start New Game+. Over Level 30, you can just jump in at your current level.
“You also get a free Clearing Potion at the start so you can reset your skills and try a different build,” said Momot.
You’ll also be able to pick any difficulty you like when starting New Game+.
The update doesn’t have a release date as yet but it will be the 16th and final chunk of free DLC for The Witcher 3. CD Projekt has two paid expansions in the pipeline, tipped to add another 30 hours worth of content to the already sprawling title.
