It’s been announced today that the anticipated game Assassin’s Creed Unity will have its release delayed by two weeks. In Australia and New Zealand, this will see a November 13th release date. The delay seems to be allowing the team behind the project to make some last minute changes.
Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer at Ubisoft, said this of the delay: “As we got close to the finish, we realized we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional. We sincerely appreciate players’ commitment to the game and their patience. It’s just a couple more weeks. And it’s going to be worth it.”
This news has no impact on the company’s full year financial targets, which Ubisoft also confirms today. The delay essentially moves the PS4, Xbox One and PC release of Assassin’s Creed Unity alongside the PS3 and Xbox 360 release of Assassin’s Creed Rogue, which was already scheduled for November 13th.
