In a year already packed with huge gaming releases, Red Dead Redemption 2 is set to dwarf them all. The sequel to Rockstar‘s 2010 open world western launches in late October and, with only three months remaining, our first real look at the game in action is right around the corner. Tonight, in fact.
Red Dead Redemption 2‘s third trailer, embedded below, released back in May and introduced the game’s story and characters. However, while all in-engine, it contained no actual gameplay footage to speak of. According to Rockstar’s heads-up press release, tonight’s trailer is all about gameplay. This will be the first time we’ve seen what the game looks like with a player in control. The press release and accompanying key art also uses the word “Video” rather than “Trailer” to describe it, which may indicate only a quick look or (potentially, hopefully) a longer one.
The new trailer is set to go live at 1:00am AEST/3:00am AWST. Learn to love yourself a fire, put the kettle on and stay up late to see it, or check back here tomorrow morning for our full breakdown.
Red Dead Redemption 2 launches October 26, 2018 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
