If you went along the Sculpture by the Sea this year then you may have seen The Grounds of Alexandria’s magical, Hobbit-themed pop-up cafe, The Grounds House, propped in Marks Park. It was an essential part of the whole experience, with small treats, burgers, juices, and great coffee fueling the scene in Tamarama. Well, there’s no need to wait until ‘Sculpture’ returns to re-visit the enchanted pop-up, as it will be making a re-appearance from the end of this month at Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter alongside Circus Oz and Water World Central.
From December 30th to January 24th, The Grounds House will be settling into the open space of greenery on the Showring to complement the family friendly vibe of Circus Oz and Water World Central, bringing in a curated menu that includes the great All Day Breaky Burger as well as Smashed Avo & Freshly Caught Fish of the Day. There will also be a kids menu and some alcoholic drinks for the adults.
The pop-up cafe is built from 100% recycled timber and was inspired by the likes of J.R.R Tolkien and C.S Lewis, blending Fordo with Alice for a playful atmosphere that will work well for the whole fam. .
The EQ offers two hours free parking and is located just 10 minutes from the CBD, making The Grounds House a great choice to pass the summer days alfresco this holiday period,
