If you had the pleasure of experiencing 2MANYDJs at Field Day this year, you know just how amazing their new live show is. So the fact they’ve just been added to the Parklife lineup gets us quite excited. Although not nearly as excited as we already were to see Soulwax again.
In other news, apparently pirates are taking over Parklife? Here’s the word from Fuzzy:
‘Le Buccan-ear’
Avast, swab! Lend us your buccan-ears ye scurvy land-lubber, for ye good ship Parkloife is about to be attacked by a deadly new stage! Don’t just stand there holdin’ onto your cutlass, run for your miserable life if ye not be game, or jump aboard Le Buccan-ear, which be an utterly unseaworthy ship o’ fools marooned on the shores o’ Parkloife wi’ nought on their tiny minds bar rum, treasure, pirates o’ the opposite sex & stupid songs. Ye’ll either be singin’ along like a lunatic’s mistress or walkin’ the plank o’ yer own choice afore long, dependin’ whether ye’r an addled sea dog loike the rest o’ us or a lily-livered, unmusical do-gooder!
That’s roight, Parklife has a new bar, which be much more of a baaaaarrrr, if ye get me meanin’. So keel-haul all the land-lubbers, bring plenty o’ ye pieces of eight, grab yer parrot and we set sail for the cliffs o’ insanity with a crew who all be madder than the Sargasso sea!
“This is the captain of your ship, and we’ll keep ye rockin’!” Aaaarrr, ye olde rave joke there….
Devouring cities, explorers and whole armies with its endless dunes and pristine landscape, discover your inner nomad as you voyage to the oasis of the ‘Sahara Stage’. Get your freak on with Missy Elliott, explore the exotic Groove Armada Black Light LIVE show and get Busy with the boss-man himself, Busy P! More a case of ‘Dance like an Egyptian’ than ‘Walk like an Egyptian’…
Located in the tropics, legend says Kakadu was shaped by the spiritual ancestors of Aboriginal people during the Creation Time. They journeyed across the country creating landforms, plants and animals, taking with them laws to live by — ceremony, language, kinship and ecological knowledge. At one with nature and the land, behold the earthy wonder that is ‘Kakadu Stage’ Look! Up in the Clouds – is it a bird, is it a Radar Detector? No, it’s Darwin Deez! Walking tall, Kele (bloc party) brings his LIVE set of solo and Bloc Party classics, its ‘Everything You Wanted’ 😉 and Everyday Should Be a Holiday when The Dandy Warhols hit Kakadu!
Thriving only in warm tropical and subtropical waters of oceans and seas, a sunken coral island long forgotten, the Atoll stage transports you to a shimmering wonderland, with Dan Black centre stage, surrounded by Symphonies of marine-life, keep an eye out for Shooting Stars when the Bag Raiders emerge and we’ll all be Opposite of Adults when Chiddy Bang appear!
Journey to the centre of the earth and rock out at the Cave Stage! A subterranean labyrinth, taking you into a perilous darkness built to withstand hurricanes, tsunamis, military occupations and the most deafening of basslines. Share a Bubble Bath with The Swiss, take a ride on the Holy Ghost! train and Drive It Like You Stole It with The Glitch Mob….ooooooeeeeeeeeeeeee!
