Adelaide’s Spin Off Festival drops a dope line up for 2024

Adelaide’s loved festival, Spin Off, has just announced their 2024 line up and it’s a corker. In a world of festivals cutting back or taking a hiatus, this year the Spin Off crew have announced not one, but two stages of music. It all happens at the Adelaide Showgrounds on Friday 19th July.

What do we know about the artists performing this year? UK queer singer girl in red’s debut single “i wanna be your girlfriend” made a solid mark on the alt-pop world. She’s toured with Billy Eilish and Taylor Swift and played major festivals including Glastonbury. Definitely put this on your must-see list.

Conan Gray has three albums under his belt, with the latest Found Heaven tour smashing up the Australian east coast. With 130 million streams he’s hot property. Worth the price of the ticket alone.  Aussie Superstar G Flip needs no introduction to local audiences, with their energetic performances always a treat to watch. Their sophomore album, DRUMMER, released mid-last year, soared to #1 on the ARIA charts and won 2 ARIA awards.  Expect nothing less than the best.

Adelaide’s darling Peach PRC will be back to perform to home ground audiences. With the release of her latest single, “Secret” and on the back of sold-out shows, expect a wild party with special guests Baby Gravy  AKA Yung Gravy and bbno$ also joining in the fun.

UK baroque indie five-piece, The Last Dinner Party bring their iconic live show, complete with haunting melodies and explosive choruses. In the first half of 2024, they released their debut album Prelude to Ecstasy, winning plenty of UK awards, and landing triple j’s feature album on its week of release. Expect rising choruses punctuated with pin-drop silences.

On top of that we have US singer-songwriter Michael Marcagi, with his authentic blend of folk-rock storytelling, rooted in age-old American musical traditions. All this and more, and we haven’t even mentioned the Sound Archive stage yet.

Swedish producer DJ Seinfeld is known for his energetic sets, while Melbourne artist Sam Alfred brings deep cuts of jazz-tipped house and UK garage mixes. jamesjamesjames has catchy hooks and pounding bass lines, while Club Angel hits the moodier side of Jungle and Speed Garage with tight drums, sampled stabs and infectious vocals. Not to forget Kaytetye producer RONA. who merges country and place with synths and melodies.

If this has whetted your appetite, be quick and grab tickets while they’re hot. First release tickets are just $99.90!
